内容简介：Big-data powered Cyber resilience for Networked Medical Devices
Medical device industry historically focused on device implants and direct therapies, however now medical devices leverage network connectivity and aggregation. Cybersecurity thus becomes increasingly important as there is the potential for patient harm and disruption of care if devices or clinical operations are impacted because of a cybersecurity concern or disruption. In addressing cyber resilience of networked medical devices, this talk introduces first our invention of a cyber protection system, rRVM-reverse replication of virtual machines, with which a networked device against any crashes (caused by cyber incidents/attacks) can be seamlessly recovered to the state that existed immediately before the crash. Next, in discovering systems cybersecurity total solution, we drill into the problem-solving in the context of world digitalization and big-data, discuss the relationship of cybersecurity and data science, and identify the gaps on big-data powered cyber resilience, as well as cyber manufacture of medical device.
Biography—Prof. Shaoning Pang is the President of International Cyber Security Data-mining Society (ICSDS). He was the Director of Center for Computational Intelligence for Cybersecurity Systems (CICS) at the Unitec Institute of Technology, New Zealand. His main research areas are System Resilience and Cybersecurity, Applied Data Analytics for Digital Health and Smart Environment. Professor Pang is a Global Judge for the 2018 AI Summit London, a Lead Guest Editor of Computational Intelligence journal Wiley-Blackwell and the Sensors journal MDPI, the Event Editor of Neural Networks journal Elsevier, and a Senior Member of IEEE. He has served Chair, Co-chair and Committee Member/Track Chair of a number of international conferences, including as the founding chair of International Cybersecurity Data Mining Competition (www.csmining.org), and recently as the steering chair of the 2019 AI x CyberSecurity Summit (ACSS2019 http://acss.csmining.org).
